Diesing

Johan Philip Diesing, a linen weaver (Leinweber), & Anna Dorothea Krum, both from the area of Darmstadt, were married on 7 August 1766 in Pastor Möllraht's house in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

Philipp Dienst [sic], a weaver, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 19 September 1766 on a vessel under the command of skipper Johann Hermann Anderson.

Völ(c)ker (Yagodnaya-Polyana-2)

There are two Völker families recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana that are not descendants of the original Heinrich Völker family that settled there in 1767. It is not known whether they are related to each other, or perhaps related in some other way to the original Heinrich Völker family:

(1) Heinrich Völker and his brother Ludwig are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp16.

(2) Johann Kaspar Völker is recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp09.

Lais / Leis (Philippsfeld)

Johann Lies, a single cobbler, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Joh. Georg Liess is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Georg Lies, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.

Windemann (Philippsfeld)*

Johann Windemann, a farmer, and his wife Anna Christina settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46.

The 1767 census records that Johann Windemann came from the German region of Ansbach.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Quin(d)t (Philippsfeld)*

Margaretha Quindt settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 3 August 1767. She is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32 along with her son-in-law Andreas Schäfer.

The 1767 census does not record from where Margaretha Quindt came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Quindt family among the Volga German colonies.

Ludwig (Philippsfeld)*

Orphan Philipp Ludwig (age 16) is recorded on the 1767 census of Philippsfeld in Household No. 9 along with the Bernhard Wilhelm family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Ludwig and Wilhelm families.

Koch (Philippsfeld)*

Orphan Agnessa Koch (age 16) is recorded on the 1767 census of Philippsfeld in Household No. 15 along with the Johann Tischer family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Koch and Tischer families.

The 1767 census does not record from where Agnessa Koch came.

There are no know surviving male lines of this Koch family among the Volga German colonies.

Hinsch*

Daniel Hinsch, a farmer, his wife Martha, and daughter Elisabeth (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 44. They had settled there on 17 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Daniel Hinsch came from the German region of Amberg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Weis(s) (Pobochnaya)

In 1790, widower Peter Weiss moved from Pobochnaya to Saratov.

In 1792, Johannes Weigandt moved from Pobochnaya to Yagodnaya Polyana.

Johannes Weigandt from Pobochnaya and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp27.

Adam Weigandt from Pobochnaya and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp45.

The 1834 census of Yagodnaya Polyana records in Household No. 160 that Adam Weigandt relocated to the colony of [Neu-]Straub.
