Johann Eit, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Christina, age 8; Margaretha, age 5¼; Johann, age 4½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a galliot named Der Junge Mattias (The Young Mattias) under the command of Skipper David Wohlert.
Johannes Eit, a farmer, his wife Anna Elisabeth (age 43), and children (Anna Margaretha, age 16; Christina Friederika, age 10; Johannes, age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 62. They had arrived in Dönhof on 18 June 1767.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johannes Eit came from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Eit family among the Volga German colonies.
